Here's my latest attempt at winning the mosquito wars...


I've taken an old headscarf, tied it around my face, then I put on this jacket which is bite-proof. I still received two giant bites on my forehead, but it's better than having the mosquitos fly up my nose, into my eyes and ears. There's no end in sight to this - the local fire department is too lazy to fog, and the weather is going to stay pretty warm all month. I HATE NATURE.

And have you noticed lately that everything you buy has a celebrity on it? Even cans of Pringles...I'm not sure who this guy is - supposedly a NASCAR driver - so I gave him a couple of makeovers.

Nope - the local stores, meaning in a 4 county area, sold out of anything that repels mosquitoes in a day. Last week. We are really truly screwed here. I've heard that AVON skin so soft products repel them, and I know my mom had some of those at her house, so I'm going to look for anything out there tonight!!

Oh thanks...it conceals the fact that I'm covered in bites that, when on your face, look like acne!!! No malaria yet, by I think I've either got West Nile or encephalitis...

After bragging about how cold it is here, I got bit my a mosquito on the eye while mowing the lawn. They don't look like zits for me! They swell up like goose eggs.

Tonight...my sister and I found a picture of our grandma wearing almost the exact same thing - without the netting. Glasses, blue jacket, hood up, freaked out by mosquitoes. Being weird is hereditary!
